He knows how to sing a song and speaks in simple, soft tones. His stories have been incredibly tall and entertaining, stretching reality to a fawning audience.
Not only that, but he might be familiar with the CON circle of friends!
Unfortunately for Stephen Harper, Robert Munsch's public confession today was not a mere cry for help but a timely step to avoid being cast as a card-carrying member of the 'laws are for you, not for me' CONs.

So because he was given the order of Canada, he's Harper's buddy?
You better tell Morgentaller it's blue sweater vests for dinner sing-alongs at the PMs dinners.
Dare say Order of Canada is considered some socialist calling card to the men in the CON war room. But they won't hold it against them, not if they know *sniff, sniff* the right people.
Munsch's transgressions just smacked a bit of recent troubled CONs, is my weak allusion. However, the beloved storyteller proved he 'doesn't have the Right stuff' when he confessed and took action to deal with his issues. That's certainly not Harper's way! He should have blamed someone else for it, like Harper always does...
